View Full Version : EXS24 MkII

I\'ve been using the GOS lite Akai with great success on the EXS24 in Logic. Now, however, I want to import those programs into the EXS24 MkII. It looks like the new functions on the MK II should make it possible to crossfade from one layer to another via a controller such as the mod wheel, but so far I have not been able to figure out how to do that.

Has anyone had success setting up such a thing on the MkII?

Hi there. This was posted a few months back on Yahoo\'s EXS users\' group by Sascha Franck:
Works very nice over here.
You gotta make sure your zones/groups are on adjacent velocity ranges. The
EXS actually \"abuses\" velocity ranges (in case you don\'t use velocity to
switch between velo zones).
Then, just choose \"Sample Select\" as a target (by default the leftmost
modulation slot does so), \"Ctrl #1\" as a source and drag the mini slider all
the way up (or down, in case you want your modwheel response to be
Selecting any other source for \"Sample Select\" should overwrite the velocity
Oh, and try to route them layers to individual outs while you\'re at it, huge
