Great work!! It\'s quite obvious that you really know what you\'re doing. Here\'s one question, though: What instruments are you using in the non-orchestral part (0:59 - end)?
Thanks & best regards,

Hey thanks for listening Jen. The sounds I used in the slow part (ambient sounds, sonic boom, and drone) are from Distorted Reality 2. The choir is the London oohs p from SOV.

Hey Francis,
SoV is a great library. It\'s got all kinds of choirs from boys choirs to gregorian choirs, solo soprano oohs and ahs, solo tenor voices, voice phrases, choir fx, etc.
It converted perfectly fine with S-Convertor.
I highly recommend it if you need these type of sounds.

I am well read on SOV but I don\'t on it. I bought VotA, instead.

I am wondering what I may be mising.

Thanks for your help.

PS. Do you find SOV to sound sythy or real?
Not in the performance samples but the ooh, aah, Boys, etc.?

I think SoV is a great library and I don\'t find it synthy at all except for the \"pop stacks\" cd which I don\'t use.
There is a slight \"airy\" noise that is in some samples like the boys ahs and oos, but if you adjust your velocity notes below 60, then you won\'t hear the noise as much.
VoTA sounds more real to me and more powerful, but SoV sounds softer and mellower. I think the 2 libraries are very different.
SoV has different choirs and fx and VoTA is a more realistic big powerful choir sound.
I love SoV and recommend it along with VoTA (which I don\'t have). The solo soprano oohs and eeh-ohs are so very cool on SoV http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif.

Cool, Damon.

Sounds like SOV is a must have for that slow haunting stuff, uh?

Talk to be about SOV. How do you feel about it? Also, did it convert well?

Hi all,

Some more on Symphony of Voices:

I have used SOV on some music that you can find on http://www.mp3.com/emano (\"http://www.mp3.com/emano\") , track \"Assisi\".

A few choirs (Mmm, Oh, Ah), as well as Boys choir and a solo Soprano voice.

Mp3 128 format is a little bit too rough for this kind of material, I hope to post some more stuff in better format on another site soon.

Hi ninriggs,

Thanks for the kind words. Since I posted my remark on that Assisi piece, I have also uploaded a higher quality version to http://www.audiohelp.com/music (\"http://www.audiohelp.com/music\")

I guess you are up-to-date with the current thread on SoV? http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/Forum3/HTML/001932.html (\"http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/Forum3/HTML/001932.html\")

Yes, thank you also ninriggs. I don\'t know how you heard my \"Sky\" demo because I took it off my site about 3 weeks ago but I see it still downloads. That\'s weird http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/shocked.gif

The quality and content are all exellent. I really hope you people get far writing such great music. As it was listening to tracks similar to these that got me writing music in the first place.

I wish you all the luck in the world in your chosen paths and feel really happy knowing such talent is on hand to help with any problems in this exellent forum.
